June/July news!šŸŽ‹

Hello NekoTen Family,

Here's what's been happening at the cat sanctuary:

We are happy to announce a new addition to the NekoTen House Sanctuary!

Meet Chatty (ćƒćƒ¤ćƒƒćƒ†ć‚£ćƒ¼)

Chatty was brought to the sanctuary by a lovely couple who had been taking care of him.

He was a stray cat who was living near their area and is believed to have been hit by a car recently that resulted in him unable to urinate and poo on his own. Due to the injury he has also completely lost his ability to move his tail. He requires assistance several times throughout the day to express his bladder and bowels.

He is very friendly to humans and other cats. It didn't take him long to adapt to his new environment. He is very sweet, has a calm demeanor and can also be very chatty at times :)Ā

He is currently on medication to help him urinate and poo properly.

As mentioned in a previous post we've had an increase in strays that have come onto the sanctuary grounds. They are outside cats and some of them have caught a cold. We were able to take one of the kittens to the vet to get treated. She looks and is doing a lot better now!

This is a Before & After photo of Kusu:

We were also able to purchase some cold medication and flea/tick medication for the other adult strays.Ā

There are a number of them who need to be spayed/neutered and we really need help with this to ensure the stray population on the sanctuary property is under control.

Female: approx „18,000 ($109.85)

Male: approx „14,000 ($85.44)

In MemoriamšŸ–¤

-Wakame, Miwa, San-chan-

NekoTen House provides lifelong care for not only disabled, injured, abused and abandoned cats, but senior felines as well. We've had cats that have been in our care for decades.

The last few months we've had to say goodbye to some of our senior residents. Some of them were over 20 years old. In cat years that would be almost over a hundred years! They passed away of old age, a few months apart from each other. It's never easy when they cross the rainbow bridge, but we want to take a moment to honor them and the joy they brought to everyone whose lives they touched. What we will miss most is their quiet companionship.

Wakame, Miwa and San-chan were always there-a silent supporter through late-night cleaning sessions, a comforting presence while sweeping the floor, a gentle paw on our cheek when we were feeling down. They taught us that sometimes the best comfort comes without words, in the form of a soft purr or a gentle headbutt.

They filled our life with joy,our hearts with love and our lint rollers with an endless supply of fur. They weren't just pets or cat sanctuary residents. They were beloved family members, loyal friends and the best furry therapists we could have asked for.Ā

Thank you for the Love, the Laughs and wonderful memories. The cat sanctuary will never be the same without you, but the memories we shared will keep your spirit alive in our hearts. We promise to honor your memory by living life with the same curiosity and independence you showed us everyday - though maybe with fewer hairballs.

THANK YOU to everyone who sent in:Ā
