Hello NekoTen Family,
Here's what happened in August & September
International Cat Day was on August 8. A very kind soul donated a bag of top brand cat food. Our fur babies really enjoyed the highly nutritious and delicious food.
We also received an Amazon gift card. The gift card allows us to purchase cat food and supplies for the sanctuary.
A Big THANK YOU to all the donors! With your support we are able to continue to do what we do.
September was a busy month cleaning, bush-cutting and weed-pulling. It's been a lot of work and there is still so much more that needs to be done. If you're reading this and have a few hours to volunteer to help us out with cleaning, cat grooming, pulling weeds, etc please get in touch.
CAT OF THE MONTH
Meet Miwa
Miwa has been at the sanctuary for over 10 years and is one of our senior cats. She arrived with a group of two other cats, a black male cat and a white/tabby special-needs cat. They were in a situation were they were living in a super tiny apartment that didn't have much room for them to roam free or go outdoors.
Their living condition was not the best and was very stressful on them, so the owner decided to bring them to the sanctuary. The three of them were inseparable and always enjoyed spending time together. Some years later one of them passed away and the other one with a deformed spine also crossed the rainbow bridge. Although she has lost her closest catmates she is not alone. There is another cat she is very close with.More about her will be coming out in a future blog post so stay tuned!
Miwa is very gentle,quiet and reserved. She enjoys taking naps in her cat bed, climbing the cat stairs and hanging out on the catio. Her calm demeanor brings so much peace and joy to everyone whose lives she touches.She loves all kinds of cat treats and would be delighted if you can send her some.
