Hello NekoTen Family,
Here's what's been happening at the Cat Sanctuary
One of the outside stray cats recently gave birth to four kittens. At-chan (AKA: Atsuko) showed up to the sanctuary grounds sometime last year and is part of a group of stray cats that live outside.
They were not brought here, but rather many of them found their way here as there are many strays in the area. Although the colony of cats live outdoors they are fed everyday and treated with so much Love and Care like all the other cats. Unlike the healthy cats who live inside the sanctuary in rooms, many of these cats are ill and have not been spayed/neutered. Our goal is to get all the outdoor strays fixed, but the reality is we do not have the resources to do that, which is why we need your Help.
Your donation makes a Huge Difference even if it's just for one cat.
Spay Cost (Female): ¥25,000~
Neuter Cost (Male): ¥15,000~
Please send us a mail if you donate via bank transfer so we know the donation is specifically for the Spay/Neuter of stray cats who live on the sanctuary grounds.
There are some wooden structures that house cats that have become worn down due to the weather. I spent some time doing repairs on these areas and as you can see a Cat-sistant appears ready to assist :-)
CAT OF THE MONTH
Meet Tetsuzo
Affectionately known as 'Tetsu' he is an extremely affectionate, loving and friendly soul.
Some years back he was dumped and left in a nearby area and he found his way to the sanctuary. I still remember the day he walked into the sanctuary grounds like it was yesterday. When I first saw him I was a bit puzzled because I didn't recognize this cat. We realized he was a new cat that had never been here before. Fortunately for Tetsu we had a room available at the time. Based on how he interacts with people we believe he had a previous owner. He definitely is not a stray, wild cat.
Tetsu has taught me that no matter what life throws at you and how bad your situation may appear to be, circumstances change and everything is temporary. Even if things appear to look bad, it may actually be a Blessing in Disguise.Life gets better and then it gets really good! Nothing in this life is an accident and everything is destined. The people and animals you cross paths with and the places you end up at are all meant to be.
He enjoys "making biscuit's" and engages with just about anybody. He loves chin rubs, being held and stroked. His favorite treat is Churu.
If you would like to donate some yummy treats to Tetsu and the other cats you can find it listed on the Amazon Wishlist here:
THANK YOU to everyone on the Ko-fi platform, as well as everyone else who has donated cat food and supplies.
A Special Thank You to Tia from TopTia Photography for your cat food donation.
Every single donation is appreciated!
Without your support we wouldn't be able to do what we do.
If you know anyone who would like to support NekoTen House or if you want to help more, there are many ways!
